Tidal Forest Hand-Dyed Falkland Wool Combed Top – Silky Smooth Fiber for Spinning - Combine with worsted style spin for a consistent and smooth yarn

Spin effortlessly smooth yarn with this hand-blended Falkland wool combed top braid. Combed top fibers are aligned for clean drafting and consistent yarn creation, making them a favorite for spinners who love precision, soft yarn, and professional results.

Each braid is hand-dyed and blended in small batches in my home studio in Lascassas, TN, using professional acid dyes from Dharma, Jacquard, and more brands to create rich, long-lasting color with beautiful gradients and some minor speckling. Every braid is prepared by hand — meaning your fiber receives personalized attention at every step. I do use commercially processed combed top as my base that I dye and create a unique one of a kind creation ready for you to spin into your own unique yarn or felt into a new beautiful creation.

Some of these colorways may even be showcased on my Rebel Stitchers YouTube channel for behind-the-scenes dyeing and blending!

✔️The Story Behind Our Fiber Blends

This colorway was not mass-produced or machine-blended. It was designed slowly and intentionally — layer by layer — in my home studio in Lascassas, Tennessee.

I begin with premium fiber, preparing each batch by hand to preserve softness, loft, and flow for spinners who value both beauty and performance. Each dye session is guided by color theory and fiber response testing using commercial grade acid dyes, ensuring saturated, long-lasting hues that behave beautifully during spinning.

Every batt, rolag, or braid is blended one small section at a time — no two pieces ever come out identical.

Your fiber is not part of a production run — it’s part of a carefully crafted micro-collection designed to feel personal, artistic, and rare.

This slow process is what allows me to offer fiber with exceptional texture control, complex color transitions, and a truly one-of-a-kind finished result!
