Our Story: 

Hi, I’m Erica, the founder of Rebel Stitchers! My love for fiber arts grew during a challenging time in my life when I was dealing with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS)—a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes joint dislocations, extreme fatigue, & more. During some of my toughest days I have had with this illness, I found myself wanting to learn to spin yarn.  I bought a spindle and started spinning yarn right from my bed. It wasn’t just a creative outlet; it became a form of therapy and comfort. I couldn't do a lot of things used to do, but this was something that I could do even while I was exhausted.  There's something so calming about the tactile experience with spinning yarn.

As I learned more and my health improved, so did my dream of creating Rebel Stitchers. Now, I’m able to share my love for handmade tools and fiber supplies with fellow creators like you. Everything we offer is designed to make your fiber art journey easier, more enjoyable, and even more rewarding. Everything is handmade here in my studio from the spindles I offer to the hand-dyed fiber I dye in my kitchen!
